On the afternoon of the 10th September, the parents of a student in Year 10 and the parents of a student in Year 11 contacted the school to inform us that their child had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the school contacted Public Health England and the Local Authority as per Government protocol to seek advice about the course of action that needed to be taken. The direction from Public Health England was as follows:
1. School will be closed to all Year 11 students for 14 days with immediate effect; Year 11 will return to school on Monday 28th September 2020.
2. School will be closed to all Year 10 students for 14 days with immediate effect; Year 10 will return to school on Friday 25th September 2020.
Judgemeadow received Football Foundation support in 2004 to fund a £1.2 million Community Football Development Centre.
The Community Football Development Centre was established in partnership with Leicestershire and Rutland County FA and the Local Football Partnership who identified the site as a priority area for football within the County. The Centre began operating in September 2005 and was officially opened by Sir Trevor Brooking, FA Director of Football Development, on 3rd November 2005
Judgemeadow was the first school in the County to have a state-of-the-art, third generation, synthetic football pitch. In the Summer of 2017, after 12 years of constant use, the pitch was replaced with a state of the art 3G surface.
Judgemeadow has since received further funding from the FA and Premier League Facilities Fund to develop another 3G rubber crumb pitch; this is suitable for 5 and 7 aside men’s and juniors football.
If you are interested in booking either pitches, please contact Sam McMahon for details. Please see below for availability.
We have 14 grass Pitches available, including 4 full size grass pitches and 8 youth pitches, making Judgemeadow one of the best sites in Leicester for developing football. The facility was set up with the support of the Football Foundation, who still monitor the site and are always looking to improve it.
Judgemeadow has a large Sports Hall which can be used for futsal, basketball, badminton, volleyball, football and indoor cricket. There are a limited number of slots still available on weekday evenings, please see below for availability.
