Mohamed Jamaal Moosa
Mohamed Jamaal Moosa’s journey from Judgemeadow Community College to a career in telecommunications highlights how early interests can shape future success. At school, science was his favourite subject—something that continues to influence his role today. The analytical thinking and problem-solving skills he developed in the classroom are now central to his work in a fast-paced, technical industry.
With the support and encouragement of his teachers at Judgemeadow, he built confidence, resilience and ambition, which helped him progress to QE College and then on to De Montfort University. There, he achieved a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering—an accomplishment he is especially proud of.
Gaining hands-on experience during a placement year at Network Rail gave Mohamed valuable insight into large-scale engineering projects and helped prepare him for his career. After graduating, he joined Vodafone, where he now works as a Delivery Manager overseeing major projects across the UK, including in airports, stadiums and transport hubs.
In his role, Mohamed works closely with teams and partners to ensure projects are delivered on time and run smoothly. Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving are essential, and he enjoys seeing projects develop from initial ideas into services used by thousands of people every day.
