Geography Trip to Sicily

In a transformative three-day Geography Field Trip to Sicily, 30 students from Year 9 to Year 11 explored the island's diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Nestled in the San Pietro Hotel, the students embarked on a journey that included a captivating field excursion to the scenic Alcantara Gorge and historical amphitheater at Taormina, followed by a day of volcanic exploration at Colata Lavica and Mount Etna.

The climax came on the third day, featuring a scenic boat trip at Giardini Naxos and a visit to the historic Aci Castello ruins. Beyond geological wonders, students indulged in the delights of Italian cuisine and enjoyed an evening of bowling, fostering camaraderie.

This immersive experience not only expanded their knowledge but also left them with lasting memories of Sicily's natural beauty and cultural treasures.
