Progress 8 Measure: A Steady Climb to Success

Judgemeadow's dedication to continuous improvement is evident in its Progress 8 measure, a key indicator of a school's academic progress and a score which shows how much progress pupils made across 8 qualifications between the end of primary school and the end of secondary school. Since joining the Lionheart Educational Trust, the school's progress has been on an upward trajectory. Here is a summary of Judgemeadow's Progress 8 scores from 2018 to the most recent provisional data for 2023:

2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023
-0.007  0.03  N/A 0.15  0.24 0.44 (provisional according to SISRA*)

*SISRA ( Sisra Data Analytics for schools)

To provide context, the average Progress 8 scores for all schools across England and the East Midlands in 2022 were -0.05 and -0.03, respectively. This means that Judgemeadow, on average, has consistently achieved approximately half a grade more progress across all subjects compared to the national and local average for all schools.

Judgemeadow's commitment to excellence extends beyond overall progress and attainment figures. In the 2022, the school's English, Maths, and Science departments were recognised as being in the top 20% of schools nationally for progress. This achievement shows the college's ability to consistently deliver high-quality education.

Further fantastic results in 2023 were seen across various subjects, with our Science department achieving remarkable grade 9-7 figures:

  • Chemistry: 69% achieved 9-7
