Judgemeadow students celebrate GCSE success in 2022

Students at Judgemeadow Community College celebrated excellent GCSE results this summer 2022. A number of high performing students achieved an impressive grade 9 result across all subjects

Over 24% of grades awarded to our students were grade 7 or above in mathematics, and over 64% of grades were a grade 5 or above in mathematics, this is a brilliant reflection of the hard work and dedication applied by both students and staff, and with excellent parental support, often in challenging circumstances.

Continuing with these successes, students at Judgemeadow Community College achieved above the national average for achieving grade 7 or above in English, and achieving grade 5 or above in both English & Mathematics.

We are particularly pleased to see a strong progress 8 result this year of 0.24, which represents the best P8 figure Judgemeadow has received. Progress 8 measures how much a secondary school has helped pupils to improve or progress over a five-year period from year 7 – year 11.

Principal Jason Smith added: ‘Huge congratulations to our wonderful GCSE students who have achieved such great grades after a tough couple of years, they have been relentless in their strive for excellence.’

We look forward to seeing our students progress in their chosen paths in the next stage of their education, whether that be A level study, apprenticeships or entering employment.

Most sixth form colleges require a minimum of five or six grade 5s or above to study at A level.
